So although the Greenbrier was AMAZING, it was so good to be back in Cincy and back home where everyone was a bit more normal and everything was a lot cheaper haha!
On our way back from WV, we stopped off at this outlet mall about an hour from our house as the kids needed new shoes for school. As it was a Friday it was also my payday so my HF said I could go and shop on my own for a bit and then meet them when I'm done! Now I feel like I am such a good and efficient shopper, if I like something I buy it, and I can be in an out of shops in like 10 minutes hahah! Although shopping on your own isn't as fun as it is with others, it is so much easier! I ended up spending $167 on stuff, I bought a new pair of converse as mine back home had started to come apart, a jacket for my mum and some earrings from Aeropostale (as I had kind of stolen her one that she bought when she went to NYC) some tops from Pacsun some jewellery from Claire's and a pair of jeans from AEO (American Eagle Outiftters). That night I then went out with Jacki and Ani (both German) to the cinema to see Step Up: All In. It was such a good film and the guy in it was hot too so can't complain😉 at the end of the movie we were just chatting outside and for some reason we were talking about going to the gym and getting a good body so we can be like the girl in the film and I said "I can do the dance moves already so I'm half way there" and then proceeded to dance in front of these random girls very badly hahah! I didn't care though, and neither did the girls, we were just like "We're German/English - we don't care! Haha!" It was so nice to spend an evening with them two, they're such great girls!
This week I also joined some other au pairs and we went to my local park and had a picnic and played (attempted to) some volleyball. It was really fun and was good to do something with the other girls, especially as Ani and two other au pairs Maria and Natalie (again both German) were leaving - Ani to go to another family in Chicago and Maria and Natalie have both finished their years. It's really weird knowing that some of these girls you meet will leave at different times, but it's always good meeting new people!
On Wednesday the kids started back at school so on Tuesday I took them to the park to play for a bit, I think I had just as much fun as them, I still love going on the slides and swings even if I am 18!!

So now the kids are back at school, Caroline started first grade which was exciting and the boys started 4th! Now that they're gone during the day I don't know what to do with myself! I haven't got my state license yet, I'm taking the drivers test on Thursday as I drive on the other side of the road back in the UK I have to prove I can drive here, it's so annoying! Caroline had an eventful first week back, yesterday she was playing on the monkey bars, fell off and hurt her wrist badly. As it was all red and swollen my HM decided to take her to the hospital. We realised quickly that Caroline may be being a bit of a Drama Queen and acting like it hurt worse than it did, but she had an X-Ray anyway and although they couldn't see that anything was wrong with her wrist, they were worried that she could have a really small buckle fracture that wasn't obvious, so now she has a brace to wear for the next three weeks bless her!
Anyway, that's about it for now!
Much Love,
Jodie xo
