So anyway, today was finally the day I left London and started my american adventure in New York City! I left Heathrow at 5pm after a very teary goodbye with my mum😥. I was flying with Danielle, a girl that I've been talking to for a few months after the agency put us in touch with each other, she's really lovely and friendly so that's good! At least I know someone!
Anyway, our flight was good, it was shorter than expected (just under 7 hours rather than 8) so we go in earlier than planned which is always a bonus! It was after we arrived at JFK that it got interesting!
We were met by the APIA rep, Michelle, and she told us that we had to wait for a girl from Australia to arrive at 9:38pm (US time) so we had to wait for an hour for her. When she finally arrived, there were two other girls from France and Mexico that had been met by Michelle's daughter who is also an airport rep for APIA. Anyway, that was all good, and we were ready to leave the airport at around 10:20 pm but one of Olia's (the Australian girl) bags hadn't arrived! She had a layover at LA and one of her bags had been left there!
It eventually got settled and we left the airport at 11:09pm and finally arrived at the hotel at just before midnight, which is 5am UK time! So as you can imagine I am extremely tired which is why this post is very brief. So now for some sleep and my adventure officially begins tomorrow!
